pastor paul georgulis
assistant pastor
Pastor Paul is from Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania (45 minutes south of Pittsburgh) and is a HUGE Pittsburgh sports fan—especially the Steelers and Penguins (but the Pirates have been letting him down since middle school. As a result, he is now an avid Phillies fan!). He has been in ministry since 2003, serving in various youth ministry roles until 2011, when he joined Doylestown United Methodist Church as the Pastor of Student Ministries. He served in that role until 2022, when he transitioned to his current role as Assistant Pastor.
As Assistant Pastor, Paul oversees DUMC’s small group ministry, helping to create opportunities for people to grow in faith and community. He also ministers to DUMC’s online congregations via the chat features of our livestreamed services, ensuring that those who worship with us online feel connected and involved in the life of the church. In addition, Paul manages DUMC's social media, using it as a tool to reach and engage the broader community.
Paul has a deep passion for communicating God’s Word in a way that is engaging, relevant, and life-changing. He loves helping people grow spiritually and to see how God is at work in their lives.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Youth Ministry from Nyack College (2008) and a Master of Divinity from Wesley Seminary at Indiana Wesleyan University (2019).
In his free time, he enjoys reading, writing, playing drums, and lifting weights. Paul and his wife, Elise, have three children—Gabriel, Natalie, and Natasha—and two dogs, Rufus and Mandy.
