Adult Bell Choir
The Tommy Shead Memorial Handbell Choir consists of 14 ringers who use six octaves of handbells and five octaves of handchimes. The choir rings in worship on the 2nd Sunday each month and for various community events and retirement centers. Rehearsals are every Monday from 7:30 – 9:00 pm. Reading music is a plus, but is not required. Persons with prior experience in other handbell choirs often find a role as a substitute for ringers who must miss a rehearsal or performance. This is a unique music ministry that requires dedication and a love of music.

Adult Bell Ensemble
The Bell Ensemble has 11 ringers who use three octaves of bells and handchimes. The ensemble rings on the 2nd Sunday each month. Rehearsals are Monday from 6:30 – 7:30 pm. Reading music is a plus, but is not required. A commitment to be at rehearsal each week and on the Sundays the ensemble performs is required. Members of the ensemble often substitute for members in the full choir and vice versa.
Anemos
Anemos is a woodwind quintet that plays at Doylestown United Methodist Church services several times each year.
Audio/Visual Team
Folks on this team can choose from a number of easy but very important duties that will make each service and event flow smoothly. We need people to change the PowerPoint slides during all three services; sit at the audio board and simply slide the volume regulator during all services and other church events (weddings, funerals etc.); and assist with set up and take down of audio equipment for the Uplifting service. Many hands make light work for all, so please prayerfully consider serving this very important ministry. If we have enough people, we will be looking at a “once every 6 weeks” rotation.
Men’s Ensemble
The men’s ensemble, is looking for more men to join, from any of the worship services. The time commitment is minimal and the fellowship promises to be exceptional!

We welcome new musical talent to our group, so please reach out to Kristian Frikke-Schmidt if you are interested in joining us!
Special Outside Music
As the need dictates, professional musicians are hired to support our worship efforts. This might include support musicians, a string quartet, harp or timpanist. External music sources are supported by the Music Patrons’ Fund.
