Mission Of The Month

Worthwhile Wear launched in India in 2012 and then launched a variety of programs in the US beginning in 2014. These programs currently include:  
 
·   Worthwhile Thrift
·   The Well
·   Meleny’s House
·   Worth It
 
Today Worthwhile Wear has grown to offer the most comprehensive services to survivors of trafficking in the state of PA.

Proceeds from Worthwhile Thrift stores serve as additional financial support for Worthwhile Wear's restorative programs for survivors of human trafficking. The stores also provide vocational training and employment for women participating in The Well program. This means donating and shopping truly makes a difference.

Worthwhile Wear now has two locations:

• 5835 Easton Road, Plumsteadville, PA
• 200 Blair Mill Road, Suites 105-107, Horsham, PA
• 305 2nd Avenue, Unit 201, Collegeville, PA

The mission of The Well is to provide sanctuary along with an array of support services and educational opportunities for women who have been trafficked. Meleny's House offers apartment style living to women in the leadership phase of The Well program to give them more independence and autonomy while still being supported by staff and programming at The Well. In turn, this will open up more beds at The Well, allowing Worthwhile Wear to serve more women. The Worth It program is a series of classroom experiences designed for women who have experienced trauma from exploitation. The goal is to help participants connect with area service providers and ultimately break the cycle of exploitation.
