Confirmation Classes

2017 Confirmation Class

It’s about that time of year again. “What time?” you may find yourself asking (or maybe you aren’t asking that because you read the above title). It’s time to get your student(s) signed up for DUMC’s upcoming Confirmation Class. Pastor Mike and I are excited for the new Confirmation Class of 2017! Each year allows us to meet a new group of unique, amazing students.

What is Confirmation Class: Confirmation is a weekly class for teenagers who are interested in exploring their faith, preparing themselves to make a profession of faith, making their faith their own and learning more about being an active member of the church. Students of the Confirmation Class will attend classes from late January to early May and are required to participate in various student ministry events/meetings for the entire school year (from September 11th through when school ends in June).

Who is eligible for Confirmation: To be confirmed in May of 2017 you must currently be in at least the 7th grade. We know there are many students who are currently in 8th or 9th grade that were not able to participate in Confirmation Classes in previous years. If this describes you, you are more than welcome to participate this year. However, if you are currently going into 6th grade, you will have to wait until the 2018 Confirmation Class.
