United Methodist Women

Did you know?

United Methodist Women: our organized group is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ.   We hope to develop a creative, supportive fellowship and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.  There are three Women’s Circles here at Doylestown United Methodist Church. Dorcas Circle is led by Nancy Harrison and Judy Finch.  Circle of Awareness is led by Kathy Kugel and Nan Payton.  Sue Holihan leads the Circle of Friends. All women are welcome to join in their activities and purpose. Our serving of all kinds has reached many, many people throughout the world. Call the Church office for more information.

International UMW involvement – Missions

United Methodist Women are in mission with people on almost every continent and many islands of the world.   Their giving – close to $20 million a year – provides food, shelter, education, employment, health care and human rights advocacy for those most oppressed and forgotten.  Money for mission projects is distributed through an “appropriations” process by the elected directors of the division.  Contact Karen Lyon 215-340-7503.
