The Trustees are responsible for the physical assets of Doylestown United Methodist Church, including maintenance of the building and grounds. The Board has divided its duties into a number of standing subcommittees that focus on specific areas. These standing sub-committees include:

  • Physical Plant: Responsible for the care, maintenance and improvement of the Church Building, its furnishings and equipment.
  • Grounds: Responsible for the care and maintenance of the exterior grounds and fixtures thereon such as playground equipment, signs, lighting, and fences.
  • Parsonage: Responsible for the care, maintenance, and improvement of the parsonage, furnishings, and equipment.
  • Building Use: Responsible, in conformance with the United Methodist Book of Discipline 2008, for determining who may use the church for non-church functions. Requests to use the Church building for private functions are referred to this committee.
  • Legal/Insurance: Responsible for reviewing the legal relationships and insurance coverage maintained by the Church.
  • Investments: Subject to the direction of the Charge Conference, the Board is responsible for the investment of the Church’s endowment and trust funds.
  • Bus Usage: This committee, with approval of the Board, shall establish policies and procedures for requests to use the bus. This committee shall oversee the administration of bus use by the Church staff. This committee is responsible for the care and maintenance of the bus.
  • Electronics: Responsible for the care and maintenance of the Church’s electronic equipment.
  • Interior Decor: Responsible for the care, maintenance and design of the interior of the Church facilities.
  • Memorials: Responsible for the planning, approval and execution of various memorials using the designated funds.
