The Finance committee is required by the Book of Discipline of the United Methodist Church. Its duties include completing a budget for review and adoption, implementing plans to raise funds to meet the adopted budget, guiding the treasurer and financial secretary in their duties, counting and depositing the weekly offerings, supervising the treasurer in the disbursement of funds, making provision for the annual audit and reporting to the charge conference, and preparing an annual report of all designated funds separate from the current budget. There are several opportunities for service. Volunteers are welcome, but members are nominated by the Nominations Committee.
